about me
My name is Sara Varga, born in 1996, and I am a free-lance photographer, videographer and journalist originally from Hungary. I relocated numerous times after graduating from secondary school, finding my inspiration to become a photojournalist in the year 2016 while living in Reykjavík. After creating a collection of images influenced by the Icelandic landscapes and the overall natural beauty hidden on this little island, I decided to leave the 'greens' for the 'greys' in 2017 and set foot in Paris, France. There, I was experimenting with a different aspect of photography, mainly capturing fragments of the French lifestyle. During the time I discovered street photography more deeply, I received my first film camera, which inspired me to put down my digital one and explore the roots of photography in order to acquire a better understanding of the field.
My ultimate endeavour in this industry is to contribute to the resolution of contemporary environmental and humanitarian issues using visual storytelling as a primary means of raising awareness.
As of September 2018, I've been living in London, studying Journalism at the University of Westminster, where I am planning on gaining professional knowledge on the media industry and eventually set off my career in photojournalism.
